Feature Story!
When Lindsey Donnelly of Derry, New Hampshire came across an adorable picture of Parker on the Molly's Militia site, she knew she had to have this sweet puppy. She pleaded with her father and after he made a series of phone calls to Molly's Militia founder Elaine van der Linden, it was all set. A 20 hour drive and over 1000 miles later, Terry Donnelly, Lindsey's father, arrived at Elaine's and picked up his puppy Parker ...and Pamela Moscatelli's puppy, Polo. As fate would have it, Mrs. Moscatelli, who saw Polo on Petfinder and wanted him, is only about a 15 minute detour for Mr. Donnelly, so he is taking Polo to her in Massachusetts!
"What a wonderful man he is to drive, by himself,
over 1000 miles, from New Hampshire, to get the puppy his daughter
wanted! Both of these puppies are adorable, and look almost
identical. Parker is bigger, weighing around 7 lbs. and Polo weighs
only 5 lbs. I will always treasure the memory of my very
special foster puppies. Terry put the two puppy pacs I made in the
trunk, and I sent other treats so they wouldn't have to mess up
their gifts before they got home. They have come a long way, by the
grace of God....from the pound and the threat of being euthanized,
to loving homes in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It doesn't get
any better than this!"
"Paws to Care Day" 10/6/01 A BIG Thank you to the wonderful members of Church of the Redeemer, 311 Seventh Street, Augusta, Georgia for the pet food, treats, and supplies they donated to Molly's Militia! We had a bake sale and accepted donations from visitors!
