Saturday's Carnival was a
very successful event in terms of entertaining special needs
kids and their siblings. We didn't do any adoptions, but our
participation
was greatly enjoyed and appreciated. There was a very nice
article Sunday in the Aiken Standard, which mentioned our
support.
Birgit, Elaine C., Jamie and Jamie's parents, Kathy and Danny,
were
all there and wonderful--many thanks! Elaine v. equipped us
with
supplies and extra puppies. Our dogs were extra-gentle with
the kids,
and Pepper the goat was a tremendous hit!
I'm glad we decided to participate, because these families are
dealing
with a lot, and we really were able to help out at this event.
Thanks to everyone who helped.
Mary McCann- Molly's Militia
Volunteer

Volunteers were Birgit Derrick, Elaine Comeau, Mary McCann and
Jamie
Ferguson, plus Jamie's parents, Kathy and Danny Williams. (Her

Macy,
Dakota, Blossom, Jessie, Isis, Rita and Victoria. It was held
at
the Bishop Gravatt Center, off Kedron Church Road in Aiken.
