In Memory Of...

John and Aileen Simpson donated in memory of their beloved dog, Molly

"In the Candle's Glow"

Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.

Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.

Hearts on earth that miss them so,
Take comfort in the candle's glow.
Watching for them in skies above,
Bound eternally by a cord of love.

Laura Hickman

Christine Stucko of Aiken, South Carolina made a special donation in memory of her precious Abyssinian cat, "Callista."

"Four Feet in Heaven"

Your favorite chair is vacant now
No eager purrs to greet me
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me

No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding
I've put away your bowl
And all the things you won't be needing

But I will miss you, little friend
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought to me
The comfort and the pleasure

And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow
I'm sure there will be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow

In Memory of "Al"

Precious  little dog….your suffering made us sad,
But so much joy you gave us,
in the little time we had.
The first day that I saw you, my heart was opened wide
to the little dog that no one noticed,
with so much love inside.

At least, a loving family took you in their home,
and the last few days you had on earth,
you were not alone.
We did all we could for you,
but long years were not to be.
We hope the care and love we gave,
set your spirit free.

We'll honor you by trying
to save other dogs like you.
This mission is not easy, but one we're destined to.
If there can be another "Al"
whose pain can change to joy,
we'll stay this course and remember you......
our precious little boy.

"Mama" Elaine

This is to honor "Al" and the Farrington family, who carried Al to and from the vet, took him in their home, watched over him, and made him "their boy."

In Loving Memory of "Girl"
Beloved cat of Doris and Vic Martin

No cat in the world could be loved more than "Girl."  A beautiful pastel portrait of her hangs in my mother's dining area.  Girl went recently went to the Rainbow Bridge, after 20 years of life.
She will live forever in our hearts.
 Tribute To "Girl"

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.
